Vardy’s does formal appraisals for insurance purposes. Every piece of jewelry bought at Vardy’s can include a free appraisal if requested. For jewelry not purchased at Vardy’s, the appraisal fee is $200 per piece. That fee includes a full inspection, cleaning, and polishing, as well as a lifetime of free appraisal updates for that piece when insurance needs it every 2-5 years.
A general evaluation can also be done for your jewelry. This is NOT a formal appraisal for insurance purchases. This is if you would like an estimated value for your piece along with what your piece entails (i.e. type of metal, type of stones, etc.) We charge for general evaluations based on time. (for example, if you have a lot of jewelry that needs evaluating or very complex pieces, it will take more time)
